Parents, Our NC Check-ins are scheduled for the following grades on the dates shown below. All exams would be given at the start of the school day, with no afternoon sessions.

8th Grade Students

Monday, March 25th, 2019 is the REQUIRED parent meeting night regarding the OBX trip.  This meeting will be held in the school auditorium and will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.  This is a REQUIRED parent meeting as information regarding medication, as well as itineraries, packing lists, and additional information regarding the trip will be distributed.  As you enter the commons area there will be a table with sign in sheets. Please find your student’s name (they are listed alphabetically by last name, by homeroom) and sign in.  This will help us assure that everyone is aware of the rules and has received the information needed. We look forward to seeing you on the 25th at 5:30 p.m. in the school auditorium.

  • Breakfast Challenge 2nd Place in the State winners  Great News!!We received notification from No Kid Hungry today that two of our middle school cafeterias received two of the three awards for the No Kid Hungry Breakfast Challenge Award for Middle Schools in our state.  Table Rock Middle School received 2nd place and $750 in the Breakfast Challenge Award and Walter Johnson received 3rd place and $500.   We are very excited for these schools and their staff and all their hard work.

  • Registration for 2018-2019 Interested in taking an online course through NCVPS?Use the Burke County Online Learning site for specific information, rules and procedures about Online Learning opportunities for Middle School students! Registration for NCVPS Summer and Fall 2018 and Spring 2019 opens March 29. Please look over the  2018-2019 NCVPS Course Catalog to identify courses of interest, course expectations and requirements. Discuss your interests with your parents and school counselor. All enrollments take place through your home school and require a contract and application and (possibly) teacher recommendation for enrollment.

  • School Transfer Fee You are required to fill out a student transfer request ONLY if you are requesting enrollment at a school outside of your district.  If you already have an approved transfer to the school your child currently attends, you are not required to complete a new transfer request UNLESS the student is a fifth grader advancing to a middle school or an eighth grader advancing to a high school outside his or her district.  You also DO NOT have to fill out a transfer request if your student is GRANDFATHERED in as part of the recent school re-assignments.The following schools cannot accept transfers: North Liberty School, Liberty Middle, and Patton High.For more information and for a transfer application ...

  • American Cancer Society We are always striving to inspire our students to get involved and to support great causes.  Well in doing so , the Table Rock Middle School staff and students took the challenge and raised $3,004.00 this year for the American Cancer Society.  Keep up the great work Falcons and we hope our efforts will also inspire others to give.

  • BOX TOPS for Education Parents, please remember to send in all BOX TOPS to help support our school. The school's Box Tops Coordinator collects all the Box Tops and send them in so our school can get cash. These funds from this program help to support many school activities sponsored by SGA (Student Government Association).

Table Rock Middle School


Dear Parents,

The GEAR UP program will be offering after school tutoring for 8th grade Math students to prepare for EOG’s.  Tutoring is from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning on Tuesday, March 26th and ending on Tuesday, May 28,  2019. The tutoring dates are as follows:


8th grade Math Tutoring Days


March 26


April 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 30


May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28



*There will be no tutoring sessions April 18th &  the week of April 22nd due to school out for Spring Break.

Your child will be provided a snack during the tutoring sessions. Transportation will not be provided and students will need to be picked up promptly at 4:00 pm.


If you would like for your child to participate in the after school tutoring program, please fill out and return the attached form.

The Burke Art Council hosted a Middle school Art gallery showing work from all five BCPS middle schools.  Among the winners was 1st Prize art work created by one of Table Rock's finest.  Congratulations to Ms Schylen Turner's 3D Prop Art piece from the show.

  NCVPS Registration Information for 2019-2020
 NCVPS has sent information for Summer School 2019 and the 2019-2020 school year:

Registration starts March 25, this includes Summer School. This is the link for the 2019-2020 Course Catalog. The Feb 28 e-lert from Adam Renfro provided a nice summary of new course offerings. If you are not already subscribed to NCVPS e-lerts, the option to do so is in the upper right hand corner.

Reminders and Information:
  • Hold Summer School applications and Parent/Student contracts at your school until we call for them to be sent to the person overseeing summer school.
    • Summer School is held at Draughn this year.
    • There is no charge for online courses in the summer or school year.
  • Rising ninth graders have to be registered at their current middle school by the ELA at that school.
  • Summer School courses are added to PowerSchool at the end of summer school and are attached to the prior school year. 
    • Meaning: rising ninth graders taking summer courses will see this added to their eighth grade school year.
    • Meaning: rising ninth graders taking summer courses will not see the course impact on their GPA. 
  • Online Learning information can be found on our Online Learning website: BCPS main page, Departments, Online Learning.
    • The Summer School information page will be updated by March 25.
    • Encourage students to read through the FAQ's to be more familiar with our online program.
